About our policies for
Cancellations for reservations made via OTAs (such as booking.com,Expedia, HRS etc):
Bookings made via third-party portals (i.e. not via our own website or directly with us by telephone or email) can only be effectively cancelled via these portals. The conditions specified there in the confirmation regarding deadlines and cancellation fees apply (identical to those for our direct bookers, which are explained below).
Bookings made directly with us
We offer our rooms for individual bookings at different rates – groups (from 5 booked rooms) have individual – more restrictive – cancellation conditions:
- economy- or non-refundable rate
- standard rate
Depending on the booked rate, different cancellation conditions apply:
Bookings – economy or non-refundable rate:
If you see the note «cannot be cancelled free of charge» in your confirmation, then you have booked an economy room. Special restrictions apply to this booking.
They require a non-refundable prepayment of 100%, which will be charged directly to your credit card at the time of booking.
Bookings made at these rates cannot be cancelled or modified free of charge, i.e. the prepayment is non-refundable. In case of no-show on the arrival date, the prepayment will be forfeited. In this case, your credit card has already been charged for the total amount. In the event of a cancellation, the cancellation fee is 100%.
Bookings – standard rate or «flexirate»:
If you have specified a cancellation period in your confirmation, you can cancel free of charge until then – with the standard rate up to 3 days before arrival at 8:00 p.m., with the «flexirate» up to 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival – after that the cancellation fee is up to 90% of the confirmed total price (for all reserved nights), which we may charge you. In order to prevent misunderstandings, we kindly ask you to inform us in writing in the event of a cancellation. So you have a staggered cancellation right – you can cancel free of charge up to the date specified in your confirmation, after that for a fee of 90%, whereby we will of course deduct rooms that are sold again at short notice from the basis of calculation in order to save you as many costs as possible (hence the wording «up to 90% of the confirmed total price» chosen above).
In the event of late cancellation or no-show, we are entitled to charge your credit card accordingly.
