The Nordic Center Notschrei training and competition centre is actually the DSV (German skiing federadion) federal base for Nordic skiing / biathlon – but this destination also offers perfect conditions for recreational athletes who enjoy snow. The Notschreiloipe offers perfectly groomed trails for all demands – and with wonderful views in all directions, in the right weather conditions up to the Swiss Alps.
From the small, easy 3.5 km loop to the demanding 22 km route for skating and classic, there is something for every level. At the top of the pass there is also a rental shop where you can spontaneously borrow necessary equipment, a ski school that offers courses for all levels and various gastronomic offers for warming up or refreshing and strengthening. Getting there:

With the S-Bahn from Freiburg to Kirchzarten, there is an hourly bus to the Notschrei stop, total time a bit more than an hour.
You can reach the Notschrei in about 30 minutes by car.
